Do you send prepackaged snacks rather than homemade (like cookies)? I have a call into the Key West ombudsman for mailing information, but personal information is very valuable. It will be a long month.

Hey Theresa,
Bob's last name is Tangen. He mentioned to me tonight that they don't go by first names, that it is all last names.

Hey there!
Bob does not graduate until July 17th. He told me last weekend that he will find out where he will be stationed in about 10 weeks or so. He also said that he would find out what sub he will be on closer to his graduation date. Originally when he went in he was hoping for San Diego or Hawaii, but now I think he would rather have a port on the east coast. He has a friend who is already on a sub, he is a cook and he is leaving for a cruise sometime this spring and he told Bob that the ports of call (Europe, Greece, Northern Africa) are great. So now my son is thinking he would rather be on the east coast. Plus, then he could take his car. If he goes to the west coast he is going to sell it. He definitely doesn't want Washington State or Okinawa (sp?) Japan. But I will ask Bob if he knows Josh the next time I talk to him. (He plans on going out with friends this weekend and next weekend since his 20th birthday is this coming week!) Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Theresa,
I will ask Bob the next time I talk to him on the phone or on AOL. What rate (job) is your son at Groton for? My son is going to be a navigator. Ask Josh if he knows Bob from NY, drives a white blazer. This website is so great. My son calls it MySpace for Navy moms. Hope to hear from you soon.

Was proud
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
I didn't have to worry that he was not going to do anything after high school.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
This was a maturing experience, The Navy has a lot to offer, This was the best decision he/she could have made
