What does your husband do? By the way, there is someone on my Friends List who is in the SD area also. I believe her hubby is part of the helo crew onboard my son's ship which is still away on deployment. You may want to look her up on my Friends List. Her name is Gen...her profile pic is of her & hubby with snow white's castle in the background. Well, hope all is well and your all settled in, take care.

HI Tina, Just noticed you are from Gardena! I'm from Gardena but now live in OC area near Anaheim. My younger bro & sil and kids, mom, still live there. I visit my bro's family on occasion. I'm Mom to KC who is an EN aboard his ship which is currently away on deployment. Are you planning to attend the first Meet and Greet in early March? There will be mostly moms attending but I believe there is at least one other who is a Navy Girlfriend or Wife who may be there. Hope to hear back from you, take care, Karen.

Yes, they should get a phone call to let you know they passed. It takes awhile. From what I've gathered from others is that BS goes for about 12 hours, then when they pass they have a 'cap ceremony' This is a big deal for them because it is then that they are new Sailors! After the ceremony they should get a few minutes to call to say "I made it!"
I leave at 8am Wednesday morning, so they will still be in BS, by the time I land they should be done with the capping ceremony and hopefully get the call while driving up to the base.
Are you going to meet us at Flanagan's Wednesday night for the meet & greet?
