OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Question???? Concerned Mom

My son enlisted into the Navy the end of September 2015 as a Machinist Mate E1. I thought he would have received his E2 at 9 months time in service the end of June 2016. Does it sometimes take longer? Can someone please explain how it works. Just a concerned Mom........ Thank you

A School Graduation

My Grandson in A School at Pensacola, FL.  He says he graduates Sept 14, 2016.  Is there any event after finishing A School?  I do not want him to be without family if there is.  He thinks he will have leave and then will be back for C School.  Can anyone tell me difference between A School and C School?  What is after C School?  I am really new with this Navy life but hey I made it thru his boot camp and that graduation was awesome!
