Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

LOOKING FOR...

Just was wondering if there was anyone on this site with a sailor on the USS RENTZ? Would love to get in touch with you. I got a group started but haven't found anyone here yet. I realize the ship is only a frigate but there are sailors on it with families. Pass the word along!

Missing a letter

I am missing my son like crazy!! Haven't gotten a letter from him in a week and a half now-I am starting to worry. I know hell week is upon us and I am wondering how he and his division is doing. Hope to hear from him soon-

finally a letter!

Recieved letter(S) from my son today! Teary eyed whild reading it. Short, but can tell he is doing fine. Said food was good! Been looking for airline deals from RNO, anybody found good deals. Any suggestions.

Go Snipe GO (ENGINEERS)

My son is a (Snipe) EN FN He has been in the navy for almost 1 year. he has went from boot camp ,to A-school, to c-school. he is getting the best education he could ever get.He is already certfied in several areas. the Navy is the best thing that ever happen to him . He is getting closer to being on his ship USS Gravely. Thank you snipe moms. Go NAVY GO

Dear RJ...Friday was pretty rough...I couldn't pull myself out of bed to go to work! So I stayed home and spent the day thinking about you. Two Weeks Until PIR

Can't wait to see my boy!! We are counting down the days. Would love some suggestions for activities to do while in Chicago for the weekend. We will have time with him from Friday until Sunday. Want to make the most of our time there.

Site Is Experiencing Technical Difficulties

Something I discovered...

Well actually my son told me to look on facebook and type in his ships name and what I discovered was some insight (small) as to what it could be like for him PICTURES!!! stuff, lots of observations. It was really a cool to experience that and it makes me happy.

I AM SO CONCERNED ABOUT GRADUATION ONLY ALLOWING 4 PEOPLE. THEN I HEAR THAT MORE CAN COME? I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO THINK. ANYONE SHIP06 DIV944 NOT HAVING 4 PEOPLE COMING TO GRADUATION? I WILL BE TRAVELING FROM OHIO TO ILLINOIS. KIND OF HARD TO LEAVE MY 13 YO SON HOME ALONE! WHAT DO I DO??

Anyone attending graduation on Aug. 20th in Great Lakes? Advice needed for travel around town after!

My son is in div. 940. Anyone have a son or daughter in same div.? I am new to this. i just joined, today! Waiting

He left last night...I cried & cleaned his room, flipped his mattress, washed his linen, dusted and even organized his shoes....my eyes keep filling with tears everytime I think about him...I can hear his deep voice as he drags out Momma....I am waiting patiently for my first call...everyone keeps telling me it will be such a quick call I won't remember what he said...I'm still waiting patiently!

Just read your info about boot. I myself did the Navy (a hundred years ago! lol) and was getting a little concerned
because I have not heard from my daughter except the I made it here call. She left OKC July 20th. Your info helped eased my frustrations, so I just wanted to say THANKS! ella

Has anyone sent there son soda to their kids on deployment?

My son is at sea and has asked for soda diet coke inparticular. I guess they only have regular. So just wanting to try and make his day but wondering the best method to try and accomplish this. Any other ideas for sending items to him while he is away? He is an amazing young man and i am so very proud of him.

Having Trouble With Bootcamp website

Is anyone else having trouble requesting their passes for graduation. My son is graduating on Aug 13 and I have been trying for 2 days to get the passes. Is the website just that busy or is there somewhere else I can try? Any suggestions?
