We made it!!

The last time I blogged was the weekend after my son left for boot camp. I am now down to four nights and a wake up and I will be seeing him at PIR. What an emotional journey. As I reflect on these last 8 weeks, I cannot believed I survived! That seems so strange since I wasn't the one who actually went through boot camp. I handled the "kid in a box" pretty well. I cried when I received the form letter. Isn't it crazy how looking at your child's messy handwriting can bring you to your…

Sad, but proud

My son leaves Monday, October 3, for MEPs and will travel to GL Tuesday for basic.  Ever since we got the news that he would be leaving in October, I have been an emotional mess.  I have so many questions and am so thankful for all the information I have already learned on N4M's.    I  know this site will be a lifesaver for the next 8 weeks allowing me to connect with those who are experiencing the same things as I am.

What happened to my baby, and who is this man?

Michael joined the Navy while he was still in High school, so I barely had a chance to get used to the idea, and then he was off to Bootcamp.

He tells me things that… Continue
