FINALLY!!! I am absoulty content with this Navy life right now!!

LADIES!!!

It has been too long since I have had time to sit down and open up this dusty laptop of mine and get onto N4M!

My wonderful husband came home on November 4th from A-School. We are now stationed at NAS Lemoore. We spent 2 wonderful, relaxing weeks of leave together, bought our first car together, leased our first apartment, bought a tv and have been having a BLAST being married. I have not been so at peace with my life in so long! I am absolutly loving…

Soo Norfolk Virginia Here We Come.

So my fiance Sean just recieved his orders to Norfolk VA a few days ago. Now that we know where we will be moving to, im really nervous. First of all, I have lived in Michigan my whole life. The only places i have been out of state are Illinois, Missouri, And Ohio. I am scared because I dont wanna not like being there. Our daughter is 4 months old and having her makes me more nervous. Maybe its just my mommy instincts kicking in. Sean and I have alot to think about and also worry about lol I…

Hello!

Wow! I can't believe it's been so long since I've been on here. I really haven't fallen off the planet. Just have had a lot going on in our church and in our military minsitry. "Busy" doesn't even begin to cover it! I'm going to have to schedule time to get back on here. Hope no one has like, totally forgotten us. :)

I'm trying to be supportive

I'm just thinking outloud here. My daughter's graduation has been delayed due to an injury. Although, it makes me very sad to hear her voice on the verge of tears, I'm trying to be positive but at the same time, I don't want to be condescending. I hate all the cliche' sayings people always voice when bad things happen; they all sound so contrived...like we all haven't heard them a thousand times before! I just wish I could give her a hug and make everything all right!

Home for Christmas?

Anyone know anything about flying your sailor home for the holidays? Mine gets to put in for leave on Dec. 1. Said he is pretty sure he will get it. Now where to fly him out of. Any one else gone through this or thinking of doing the same?

from our recent letter...

Here is an except from our recent letter from our daughter:

"I defy pain, exhaustion, loneliness, sadness, nausea to push on. When I walk across that deck on graduation day, please be proud of yourselves and know that every command I follow, every achievement I have reached, every mountain I've climbed, I have done so in honor of you...my parents"

Love, your daughter.

Next day Mailings??

Has anyone sent their Sailor a next day package? Wondering what mail i should use. This will be his first holiday away from home and family, a long way away from home. I would just like to send him a few things to help him through his day. Well it help me too to know that he has some homey things to enjoy and share. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you

After graduation

After my son graduates, do I need to bring him some clothes or do they wear a uniform all the time? What else will I need to bring?

Last I heard

Last I heard my son was worried about his running test. Is " No news good news?" or should I still worry. He should graduate in a week and a half. I don't know what to think.

Son Leaving for Boot Camp

HI All,

Our son leaves Dec 15 for bootcamp. He was born a military brat (husband retired 25ys Marine Corp and my self US Navy 81-86) My whole family is so proud of him and his choice to serve his county. He is very excited to begin this new "life" with the military. I look forward to checking back often on this site for information.

Flat footed in bootcamp??

HI My son is very flat footed. He has a hard time running a long distance. I am very worried about boot camp, I don't know if he will be able to keep up on the runs. Has anyone else had this problem??

Mom missing Travis

My son left for Great Lakes on Wednesday the 17th of November out of Pittsburgh and I have not been able to stop crying since. I am very proud of my Travis but I am having a hard time letting go. I miss him so much it hurts! I did get my phone call from the airport and he sounded so up and ready to start his life. I am proud but miss him badly. My husband got the call about 9:30 from base and again he sounded ready to get started. I hope these 8 weeks go fast.

Sailors 21st Birthday!

Today is our sons 21st Birthday! He leaves for boot Jan. 4th, so we will make this birthday the best "last" one ever! It was only a minute ago he was playing with his legos, soon he'll be "playing" on a ship! We are so proud of the man he has become and wish him the best birthday and life ever! Happy Birthday to our Sailor!
