New to this...

My daughter left and reported on November 13 and we got her phone call that she was safe and sound on November 14th.

I haven't heard from her since.  I have no idea what to expect and when she might call again.  Haven't got her address to send things to her, letters.  She did say it might be a while though.

We did get her box back a week later with all her stuff.

I am at a loss... can anyone help with what I can expect or when I might get to talk to her?

Remember Highschool Football Stadium Seats?

I am so glad I haven’t donated or disposed of the stadium seats I used for highschool and college games.  Packing three for trip to PIR.  Yes...taking 2 extra for my SR’s father and aunt.

Have spoken with with my son 3 times today.  He warned me about the bleachers at PIR and be prepared to walk a lot.  I’m very practical.  I may near my muck boots for the track to the graduation the put on my nicer shoes once I arrive.  Maybe I will purchase a clear vinyl bag to carry them…

I Finally Had A Glimpse Of My Son!!!!

U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command blessed me with a glimpse of my son marching in the snow with his ship mates.  He looks great!!!!!  He looks confident and proud!!!!  I cried like a baby.  I am still planning to knock him on the back of his head like Gibbs does DeNozo on NCIS because I have not received ONE letter.  I have been a worried mother hen only to find out he is doing great!!!!  I took a screen shot and forwarded it to everyone I know.  The happy smirk was there.  It will be such…

First phone call

Finally heard from my son this morning. They just allowed an hour of phone calls. Since after the 5 vaccinations were given, he’s been suffering cold and congested and he sounds awful on the phone and not taking any medication for it. Thank God, no fever. My son was chosen as a Port Leader in his division. Being a division leader, he's the first to wake up and the last one to go to bed. So he's sleep and rest deprived.  Poor baby. His…
