OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. There are now tickets issued, and there are no longer parking passes for PIR.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Crazy life x4

I'm moving cross country to be close to Son1 & family. Juggling the following:

  • House 1 (sold, in escrow, to close at year end required an emergency probate attorney today, along with a zillion other details
  • House 2 (completing build, to close at year end) so, so many details, contractors, inspectors, lawyers

Over a year now

Hello all, just wanted to come on here and say Hello. I haven't posted anything in a long time. It's been over a year since my daughter graduated boot camp. I have gotten a lot better at being an emptynester. But I still have days where I miss having her around me. I'm happy that she'll be home for her Christmas leave. :)
Well, hugs to all. Stay strong & positive! Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year !

Navy Life So Far

My son has been in the Navy almost 3 years now.  It has been wonderful to see him mature and grow.  He is has gotten married and having the time of his life meeting wonderful people, friends for life.  I have been so grateful for all the moms on line.  We even have a Facebook page for Navy moms in my area.  We get together and have lunch, do crafts, wine tasting...  These women are now my family.
