On January 22 the Macy's lay offs began. I had been holding my breath hoping I wouldn't get called to HR. Then it came "Please come to the office". I went to the office got the we're sorry speech and tried not to cry. When the poor guy asked me if I was OK I replied "Sure I am. But are you OK? This has got to be hard on you?" The holidays are over and Daniel is back at A school. I've tried to stay busy with work so I won't think about how much I miss him or how worried I am he'll be sent to Afghanistan after A school. We were all so happy to have him home for Christmas (especially Fat Lu). Now that he's gone again. I don't know who's more depressed me or Fat Lu.
