So today was the day for my baby shower... It was a really good time. There were about 22 of us there today. We had fun games that my sisters came up with to play and everyone enjoyed them A LOT! I got to talk to my hubby this weekend! It was so nice to hear his voice. I know that he misses us, but I am happy to hear that he is having fun while they are in port. I know they don't get a chance to get off the boat that much, so I am happy to hear anytime he can enjoy the sites. I am just so thankful that my sailor and his shipmates are safe. So today is the day that half my heart left. My sailor is aboard the Rodney M Davis left this morning for a 6 month deployment. It is hitting me so hard that he has left. I feel so alone and so lost. He is my best friend and now I feel that I have no one. Is that possible when I have family that lives about 20 minutes away? I mean, I love my family, but my best friend is gone.
