security clearance question?

I was reading on another post, a spouse is on HOLD status after completing A school because of student loan debt?  Isn't that something that the recruiter is aware of before the recruit goes in?  I know my daughter has accumulated debt because of student loans and some others, but she is making arrangements now after completing boot camp.  Is that all the Navy is wanting to see that she is making arrangements to pay back the debt?

departure to A School

Well, our girl is anxiously waiting her departure for A School.  Talked to her yesterday and hopefully sooner than later.  I am thankful for all the things available for the sailors to occupy their time while they are in transition.  She seems to be more relaxed these last few phone calls.  I am truly thankful.  Lord, continue to be a fence about our girl and all those new recruits, new sailors, and all serving withing the armed…

Graduation and Liberty (+advice)

Well, our girl did it!  and because she was in 923 Division, they carried state flags, honor guard (I think) and one other thing (I can't remember).  Graduation was the most regimented ceremony I have ever attended.  Not your average High School graduation.  I can appreciate all the rules, because there is so much going on and so many family members in attendance.  Our girl and her division did an excellent job.  I was their 3rd graduation by that time, so they had down by then.  She…

one happy momma

I got a 30 minute phone call with my SR today.   She said most in her division have the crud,  but there is no time for being sick,  still so much to learn and do.   She said she was selected or appointed  to being one of the flag carriers for graduation.   She said she's not even sure how she got that appointment.   Lol. But,  other than being a little under the weather she said things are not as bad as she thought  they would be.  So,  please lift up Ship  02,  Division 923 recruits to…

waiting for FORM letter

While waiting for my FORM letter, I learned not to not watch the calendar so much and just have a "little" more patience.  Trusting God for everything!  Thankful in all things!

still no "form" letter, still no call

I am im-patiently waiting for the "form" letter, and still have not received a call from my new recruit.  She has been at Boot Camp since February 16.  I am hoping to get something in the mail today.  This waiting is no bueno for this momma!  I know she is surely covered with daily prayers, but, I can't help myself.  I know she is doing great things!  I know this "waiting" is also something we all will have to get used to.  Lord help us!  Give us peace and understanding!

New Navy Mom.

As a mom that has basically had hands in every thing in their children's lives, this has been a new experience for me.  Letting go and letting God is one thing, but letting go and letting the Navy?  Any helpful, encouraging information is greatly appreciated.  Daughter is entering DEP this week, and hopefully BASIC in May 2016 if not sooner.
