August 22, 2008 Almost done with A school

We are so happy because our David will be done with A school next Tuesday. He is still in Chicago and can't wait to get out of there. He really doesn't like living there. Being used to the South Florida weather, the Chicago weather "sucks" according to him. He thinks he'll be heading to Virginia which is closer for us to visit and hopefully the weather will be more to his liking. He'll be coming home to visit very soon!!! WOOHOO!!! We can't wait to see him. He was able to come home for the 4th… Continue

March 22, 2008

I am officially an A school mom now. David graduated yesterday. It was beautiful and emotional and exhilirating and everything good all rolled up into one. Here's a recap of my day. We drove in, got our IDs checked and proceeded to park. Since my dad is handicap, we were told to park in a different a… Continue

March 5, 2008 Letter from David

So I just received a letter from David. It started out a bit sad. He said he was having a bad day because he misses us soooooooo much and that when he sees us he is going to give us the biggest hug and kissess. You know I cried after reading that. He took his pictures and says he looks really good in his uniform. We are so very proud of our David. He passed Test #2 and says that the important things left for him to do are Test #3, the 3rd PFA, a bunk and clothes inspection, a marching assessment… Continue

March 3, 2008 Pictures of the Family

Here we were (David and I) in Cracker Barrell in Cookeville, Tennessee, where my oldest son, Alex, and his fiance, Cici, live. We went for the Christmas holidays and had an amazing time. That was the last time we were all together as a family. I am so very proud of my baby boy.

March 1, 2008 My First Post

I just joined this site and I'm very excited to navigate through it and see what I can learn about being a Navy Mom. Every Thursday we receive a letter from David detailing what his life is like. He was originally chosen to be the Religous Petty Officer, but in his last letter to us, he states that he's been promoted to Section Leader Petty Office… Continue
