Sarah called this afternoon! She was on a bus heading for the base, excited to start this new phase of her career. She is SO HAPPY and while i know i will miss her terribly i am thrilled knowing that this will all be such a great experience and opportunity for her. I woke up this morning and immidiately recognized that empty feeling that I haven't had to deal with since Sarah left. I tried to be positive all morning as he wrote addresses into his book and took phone calls from family and friends. We dropped him off and I did pretty good not to cry so as not to embarrasss him in front of the recruiter and the other recruit who was also there preparing to leave that day.
