May 24

I received a letter from my son today. The first one for about a month. He is doing good with being set back. He sees this as more time to get better. He assured me he will get it done and not to worry. He kept apologizing to me for the "hassle". I had to send him a Sandboxx so tomorrow he will see that there was no hassle just worry for how he was doing. Now I know his head is in the game, I can relax. His new division he said was weird. Just before he went into it, they got a new RDC, they…

Today is a weird day. My son (I  am pretty sure) would have been in Battlestation 21 tonight. My friends, I made on this site are receiving their "I am Sailor" calls; my sons old Division won the Captains cup. I am so happy for his division and friends, a little jealous they get to hug their Sailors. I really wish I could talk with him and see how he is doing. His new division got to make phone calls and mothers reported talking for an hour. Logically I know he should have been running but…

May 18th

I have been talking with several of the mother's on this site and in the new division. I feel this is going to be good and all will work in the end. The new division sounds good and close, plus he is on the USS Arizona. That ship has always been special to me. I have been able to visit twice now. I am seeing good signs and feeling the love of the other mothers. The worst really is no letters for a few weeks and was looking forward to hugging my son. I can make the 3 weeks until I see him and…

May16 take 2

This is the reason we keep saying No news is good news. I got a call. He has been set back 3 weeks, it was his run time. My heart hurts for him. He wants to so bad.  I hope the 3 weeks does him good because I don't know what will happen if he can't do it. All I can do is pray and change my travel plans.

I am trying this voice thing you so forgive me if I mess up punctuation. Today's Wednesday we are in week 6 I believe. I didn't get a letter last week nor a phone call, this has been a hard week. I know he still has to shave time off of his run, he's supposed to be going through a clinic I don't know how that's going. He got his rate assignment, I don't know what that is. I'm just really anxious. I know sometime this week he does his final run and I am so worried about him. I keep telling… Continue

May 10, 2018

No letter today. I know he is busy but I am really disappointed.  I sent him 2 different questionnaires to make it easier and still nothing.  I really want to know his Nuke Rate, how he is doing on his running and how he did on fire arms. This is supposed to be his weekend to call but with Mother's day I don't know if he will be able too.

NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS!          NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS!     repeat

The good news is, his graduation in in 2 weeks and he is still at boot camp.…

Picture

The recruit training center posted pictures today and I think I see my son. I know he is short but wow, if it is him the guys are huge in his division. The stance and everything is just like my son. I had hoped they got the slouch out of him, but that looks like his slouch.…

May 3

I received another letter from my son. It was much shorter since he didn't have to rest his leg. He said that tomorrow he should no his rate in the nuke program.  I asked the Nuke moms how they decide. It is as the Navy Needs.  A sorting hat was suggested which lead to my daughter going off a tale about and Magic Navy Hat that reads my sons thoughts. She said she hopes he chants "not Slytherin" so he can have Gryffindor instead.

He is tired but good.…
