Vincent Home after A School

Vincent came home after finishing A School for a week. I was so happy to see him at the airport. He picked me up when I went to hug him and carried me a few steps. I think he was happy to see me, too. :) It has been wonderful having him home. Yes, he has changed, grew up and became much more mature than when he left in February. Goose Creek, South Carolina

I drove Vincent's car to Goose Creek (NNPTC) this past week. We left on Sunday, June 29th driving around 500 miles each day and arrived in Goose Creek on Wednesday, July 2nd. Was able to go to dinner with Vincent on Wednesday and Thursday. He had the 4th off, so we had three whole days to spend with him. Needless to say, we drove around Charleston a bit and did some sightseeing, but mostly I wanted to be with Vincent. Update and NNTC

It has been a while since I wrote. I hope everyone is doing well and your son/daughter are adjusting to the Navy life. I have been able to speak to my son, Vincent, pretty regularly since he has been in South Carolina. He has his cell phone, so I can call him in the evenings and say "hi." Right now the time difference (3 hours) is working in my favor, because I can call him just as I get home and he's getting ready to go to bed. I am so very proud of him. April 6, 2006 - Home from Great Lakes

This weekend went by so fast my head is spinning. We flew into O'Hare Thursday afternoon, met my parent's good friends from the Navy days when we lived in Great Lakes. Then off to the Navy Lodge at Great Lakes. My father was happy to be back to see the place where he taught for three years. I couldn't go to sleep because I couldn't wait to see Vincent.
