Avery waits for Daddy to get home.

Avery made her grand entrance on Tuesday morning. Her mom was holding out for dads arrival. Nick had to fly into Indy and had to have a friend pick him up and bring him home. When the Dr said that his wife was ready to push, I called him and he was still out 60 miles. I thought 'boy, we were so close". It's going to be a girl!!!!!!!!!!

My daughter in law had her ultrasound yesterday and its a girl. Nicholas will be so excited. We have all boys I have all brothers so the girl thing is new. I think that his wife is sending the pictures to him today. I cant wait to hear his reaction. Baby is due May 19th. Continue

I got my first letter!

Today I finally got tired of waiting for someone to send me the mail address information so I called Nick's recruiter. He gave me the address to write to. I was so excited to start sending mail. My hubby came in after the mailman and he had it! My first letter. Not a phone call but just a good. I have read it a hundred times. Nick is a Yoeman in his division. Yikes. I am a Navy Mom now.

I talked to Nick on Sat. and he said that he had to be at the recruiter on Sunday at 1:00 pm. to travel to Columbus to MEPS. He was going to have dinner with Grandpa on Sunday night and be at MEPS early in the morning on Monday. He said that he would stop by before he left town. I started to get concerned at 12 and by 10 after I was ironing in front of the window facing the driveway sobbing. Even though he is married and lives a few minutes from here he is still my baby.
