Yesterday while I was at work Dan called, hey he said. I told him I was at work and couldn't talk long. For some reason after I hung up with him I almost fell apart. My co-workers said it was okay, they were great, they know Dan he worked at the same place for a few months before he left. I realized today that letting go of our children is something we do slowly while we are raising them,without realizing it with each new step they take growing up we are letting go just a little bit farther to become independentant adults. On tuesday May 14, My son became a UNITED STATES SAILOR. Today he called and the pride in his voice was so awesome. He is so proud of what he and his shipmates have accomplised. Today has been an awesome day. I can't wait to see him on May 23 in his Uniform standing proud and tall with his shipmates We should all be proud of these young men and women for taking the leap and volunteering to serve this great country. Dan is somewhat of a quite guy, until he feels comfortable, he is confident, and strong and a really great friend. He has a passion for music, he loves his guitar and piano. When he was a little boy music was always what soothed him.
