Just came back from visiting my daughter at A school and wanted to give other parents a Heads up!! I made reservations at the hotel on base and was told that my sailor would have to sign me in... No problem !!! I was going to be getting there about 8 to 8:30 pm and curfew was 12 mn... WELL.... Well it looks like Bootcamp graduation is only 2 weeks away and I have a Grad and Go? My question is can I bring her a present? Ipod? book to read on the plane? IF she is a Grad and Go will she be able to leave the base and go out to eat? Is there places on the base to take her to eat? What can you tell me to make this event more special for her? Continue

My daughter is in bootcamp. Her husband just got out of the Army on disability. I found out last night that my daughter has been being physcially abused by her husband. What I need to know is there daycare available to soldiers wherever they are stationed at the hours they will need it?( I plan to confront my daughter with what I have found out and try to have some options available to her.) She spoke to her husband only had about 2 mins and she seemed real down!! He said it sounded like she had been crying. She said her graduation date has been pushed back by a week to Oct 30 due to taking longer to Process? Does that mean her whole group is delayed or... just her? What would cause a delay in processing? Also, What time does graduation get over? I will need to leave that afternoon after graduation is it usually over by noon? Thank you for your help ! My daughter was sworn in last week. The 2 positions she wanted was Master of Arms or Hospital Corpsman and she was told they both were closed... She was offered something called Aviation ??? ( dealing with equipment for planes/helicopters etc.... ( a job that I feel wont be very useful if and when she ever left the navy) she was told there was only one of these positions and she better take it if she wanted it ... so she did.
