July of 2007 my son Mikey, a medical corpsman, was slated to go to Afghanistan. He was given his 30 day leave before his deployment. We spent this time with relatives and friends. The ususal get togethers/parties. A couple of days before he had to leave he recieved an e-mail from his sgt. saying he was cut from the unit list along with 2 other marines.
