Navy For Moms

Avery made her grand entrance on Tuesday morning. Her mom was holding out for dads arrival. Nick had to fly into Indy and had to have a friend pick him up and bring him home. When the Dr said that his wife was ready to push, I called him and he was still out 60 miles. I thought 'boy, we were so close". I shared the bad news with Nick's wife and she pleaded with the dr. they stopped the IV and allowed her to rest. The best sight I have ever seen was my sailor running down the hall. That and him holding his daughter Avery 6 lb 2 oz. 20" long in his arms for the first time.

I'm swallowing a huge lump in my throat! I can picture it like a scene from a heartwarming movie. Doesn't get any better. Congrats to you Grandma, welcome Avery and best wishes to her new little family! :-)

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is amazing how far we have come. Can you imagine just a few years ago that we could slow down the birth of a baby so Daddy's would be able to make it to the delivery. All I can say is THANK YOU JESUS.
