Today, one week ago, the recruiter picked up our son, yes on Father's day at 4 pm.  He got to basic on Monday.  Does anyone else have a son or daughter in that time frame?  Where do we find out their expected grad. date, so that we can make travel arrangements?  This past week has been full of many emotions...from being sad and crying to my heart being filled up with pride.  I wonder what he did today and the day before and the day before.  I read that they had 5 hours off today, i do hope that i get a letter this week.  Is there anyway that we can find out their address, so that we may start writing?  if you would like to join me so that we could build a bond ~~ just let me know.  Thanks and Many Blessings, Cindy

my son left on the 21st....it has been an emotional roller coaster for me...I am so worried, scared, and proud all at the same time.  Call his recruiter for an address...that is how I got ours.  Not sure when they can receive and start sending mail...but I pray it is soon...!  blessings to you 2!

we got his box back, with all the dirty clothes and shoes, i cried when i took them to the washer - not wanting to wash away the smell, yes, i said that.  th u for the advice, i'll e-mail Eric tonight with my questions.  we are going to drive up from texas for PIR - instead of flying.  Will be a nice vacation for my husband and I...it's over 1000 miles - but will be so worth it.  I'll bring a dish towel instead of kleenex's and forget the mascara that day...lol

My husband left during that time. We just recieved a letter from him yesterday saying his graduation date was August 12th. You will get the paperwork soon I'm sure of it. Maybe today Monday the 27th, because he should have sent it pretty recently. And I assure you, it gets easier. :)

we got our first form letter - he graduates the 12th of August, I sent out 5 different letters from various family members today.  I e-mailed his recruiter and got the address.  He said he was made "Master at Arms" and said that it had only been 3 days - but that he has changed so much already.  He said he is a "yelling, screaming, ship hungry robot".  So proud of the latest updates - see you in August...Blessings to you and yours, Cindy

My son left the 23rd... I recieved his stinky "box" today. Hoping for a note and address but niether was there.

Having a hard time as I am now alone. It's a good thing I work or I would just cry all the time.

My son left of the 23rd. I recieved his box today. I searched every pocket hoping for a note, but nothing. I also thought that I could get address off of box so we could start writing him. When will I get address?? He called when he arrived at boot camp and it was 12:30 at night, I was in bed sick with a fever and ran to the phone and by the time I got there, he had left me a message. I was so upset that I didn't get to talk with him. When will I find out an address to write and find out about graduation???
