You most likely won't be able to visit him that first weekend in Pensacola, but have him check when he gets there.

Check your My Page.

BTW, edit your Blog to add a Post Title. When you don't include a title, the NING program automatically puts the first 200 characters of your post in as the title and that gets pretty long. Click "Options" in the upper right, then "Edit Post" and insert a title.

He will be in liberty phase one when he first arrives, meaning he can't spend the weekends offbase.  He might be able to have you visit, but will have an early curfew.  Because he is arriving on a Saturday and checking in, he won't have much time to himself.

Here are the liberty phases for Great Lakes, P-cola uses a near identical set of guidelines:

He should let them know when he checks in that you are due/near due.  The Red Cross is going to be your fastest way to officially contact him, because you are close, they may even let him go for the birth (they don't have to though).

Within the first year of the baby's birth, he gets ten days of free paternity leave.  He can't skip school to take it, but can request to take it if there's a break in training.  He could even use it over Christmas if he's there long enough.  They don't start school right away anyway, there is always some indoc and some hold time.

kathierob, there are lots of options, so it is not usually a problem if you don't make reservations.
