Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Wow. WooooooowwwwWW. WOW. (Yes, I shouted!)
Today is a good great day. Wait. It's been a great week! We've reached 6 thousand members and um... 800 plus of them have joined us since Monday 10/13.

So what in the world?
Why the huge burst you ask?
Because we are awesome! :) Hehe. That and we had a huge event in NYC. And at the same time we went national in our campaign. So our ads are now playing from coast to coast. And of course, I notice your word or mouth efforts when I see your family and friends join. :) And also there are things like this that need to be noted also.

I am usually pretty quick and responding to e-mail and questions and greeting new members- but I am asking everyone to be patient with me as we get through this awesome growth. :) As most of you know, for now, I am the only admin, but my team is working hard to give me a partner in crime err- a co-worker.

I wanted to ask you all a favor also... If you see a new member from your state, or maybe your sailors are doing the same thing... or whatever- Could you help me greet the new members? I mean... let me break it down for you...

10/13: 62 New Members

10/20: 95*** so far at 5:07 PM Eastern Time.

So- With that... I need your help!

Sending my best-

I think that it is just AWESOME. I am one of the new members on Oct. 16th. I had just gotten my first real letter (actually two in one!) and as I was wiping the tears up I saw a commercial for the site. Thank you all very much. It helped.

It was a pleasant surprise to find myself "chatting" with someone today who was over the 6000 number. I'm gong--what happened--was it a Rip Van Winkle and I slept through a ton of new Moms? No, it was the real time and real event. Thanks Catherine for all you do!

All of these post are from so long ago. Has the group dissolved since the Bataan is back from deployment? My daughter is now a sailor on thr Bataan since Labor Day 2012. It would be nice to know she had someone to help her out a bit.
