Dear Members:

My husband J and I are relocating to Chicago in a few days. My last day on the site will be tomorrow 12/2/2008. Your new admin will be Elle. I’ve been transitioning her for the last couple of weeks. The rules and the site are the same. The only difference is you are talking to her instead of me. :D Please welcome, be patient, help, and work with her as she continues to transition in to the admin role.

I can’t believe that almost 10 months ago I was asked to grow this site from zero members to *fingers crossed* a few hundred. :D Who would’ve thought we would see it inch towards 9K before 2009! It’s been an amazing experience to watch you take our little space and make it your very own.

These last 10 months have been life changing for me. I loved meeting you and learning about you and your family. Seeing everyone bond and grow together has been the best part of my job. I feel honored to have been part of your lives as your children (significant others, family members, etc) are living through their Navy experience.

My best,

CC

Below is the video Elle and I made (so you can put a face with a name!)

I started reading the post on the Main page...and couldn't believe it.. But I gather we couldn't have you forever.
Isn't it ironic "Chicago" the place where all our children went and came home sailors.
I truely hope for a *blessed* life for you and your hubby. And please Many Thanks to hubby for all of his patience! and also for sharing you with all of US..
You are the cornerstone to this site and will never be far from any of our thoughts and prayers.
Do great things, live great adventures and life will be happy
best of luck...health and happiness in everything you do.

Oh, dear! What a void you will leave Catherine. I can only hope all turns out well for you in Chicago. You are indeed the "cornerstone" (thanks Di) of this site and always will be. Please join N4M and keep in touch. You will be dearly missed, but never far from my heart. All the best to you and hubby as you start a new chapter in your lives.

Oh girl, caught us off guard today. I was thinking they needed to clone you...not let you escape us!!! I miss the early days when we were all learning and laughing together Did we even know how to spell Sailor...okay, maybe we knew how to spell it - but how do you make a Sailor - we learned that together too! We'll miss you but wish you much success going forward and look for you to stay in touch...you know how to find us!!! Best wishes Catherine!

Hey Catherine ( done in my best imitation of Rocky yelling, Stella),

I'm gonna miss you girl. Never got the chance to have that cup of java with you but still I feel like we connnected no matter how briefly. Of course I can see the labor of your hard work by perusing the pages of this wonderful website that I've practically become addicted to.

Best wishes to you and your hubby and of course you'll LOVE Chicago and all that it has to offer but we'll miss you here in the metro. God bless you in all of your endeavors and be in love and at peace always.
Your virtual friend, Sherry

Ladies, I am moved by your words- and it's hard not feel emotional when you feel like your leaving your family - *reaching for a tissue*. Let's look at this as not maybe a goodbye- but a see you a little bit later. Okay? ;)

Thank you for your well wishes. I feel truly grateful to say you have been part of my life.

I loved the "you sound so motherly: comment" - hehehe I learned from the best- my mother! :)

I know there were a few questions in your responses- and I will try my best to get to them before this afternoon.

(((love))) CC
