Navy For Moms

My son had a terrible recruiter. Everything I needed to know I had to research myself thanks to this website. He had the nerve to tell me that I was the worst parent that he has ever delt with. I told him he was the worst recruiter I had ever delt with. I felt that the only goal was to get my son signed up and that was it. He was not informative, sympathatic, he was just awful. I would not recommend him to anyone. I was more knowlegeable than he was.
I told him if any parents had any questions refer them to me. Thank you navyformoms.com

Okay now, tell us how you really feel about that recruiter!! I think it's just like any job, there are good employees and some that are ...not so good! But you are right, there is a wealth of knowledge on this site to help with every stage of the Navy.

Has your son left for boot camp yet?

You could always request a transfer of recruitment. Your recruiter should be the person to fall back on in time of need through out your process of enlisting and boot camp. My experience, I got more info as you did off of here. I think maybe they can only say so much and prepare so much? But it sure would be nice if they sent us Moms to a DEP program every week like they do our kids ;) Dontcha think?

That would make too much sense. Give Moms info that is correct and they wouldn't have a job anymore. Must be a deranged sense of job security.

The info that I needed was basic or so I thought, like what can he bring, how many are invited to the ceremony. I just thought that he could've done more. My son was disappointed in also luckely my son rememembered that someone @ our Church was in the navy. So with is help and this site we were able to gain info.
