Hi really new to this but super proud of my son!! He left for Great Lakes on Wednesday. Wanted to touch base with any mom or family who's son or daughter left on that day. I do have a bit of good news I received his "box" today 3/28! A little sad that I didn't receive information on how to send him letters. I'm sure that will come!!! It's crazy that I have a million emotions.

Hang in there. THey will send all their items back in a box to you. Then you will get a letter that explains how to write them. Then your daughter or son will send you their information that will go with the letter you write them. It took about three weeks before I was able to write my son in the Chicago. He graduated in October 2015.

My daughter left on 3/22 from Raleigh. I just got her box today, also. Waiting for her form letter so that I can send her mail, that I've been writing ahead of time. Furthermore, my hubby wants to make time in his schedule for graduation travel. Let me know when your Navy form letter comes. Thanks! And hang in there.

I was trying to count the weeks to graduation! The way I am counting it's either going to be May 20 or 27. I have noticed everything is hurry up and wait. But that's ok! When it comes to that hurry up and wait I feel like I am at work! Lol
We are going to go at least 2 days early we are fortunate enough to be a 4 hour car ride away. That's why I was looking for other families to maybe hang out!!!

My son left on 3/22 and I have received his box and his info letter came on 3/28. I'm confused because it says he graduates May 13th but that would only be 7 weeks, recruiter had told us it would most likely be the 27th.

Hopefully I get my letter today!!! 3/29! I have been doing a lot of research on boot camp so very interesting! Their graduation is 8 weeks after their "P" days!

I have been writing everyday and dating the paragraphs in a notebook so when I finally get that address my daughter will know how I have been feeling everyday that she has been gone. How lucky that you live so close I will be flying in on the Thursday before and I can't wait for that day!
