Well my son was suppose to graduate on Sept. 9th div 295. But he broke his hand and is now delayed.  He is now in a div 2341 and we are waiting to see where he will go from here. He is hoping to get his cast off and get right back into things i'm worried that only two weeks in a cast wont be enough for him to heal and make the rest of his training difficult. Does anyone know what he is doing while he is in this medical unit?

Please correct me if I am wrong. I thought Ship 5 (Formerly Ship 17) was for those from Boot who were being discharged. I found the following group:

Ship 6 (Sick or Injured Recruits) waiting to return to RC to finish BC

The group is still active.

Thank you wtsshaw, My grandson was taken to ship 4 on July 8th and has been there sense. He has some kind of issue with a pinched nerve and has no use of his left arm. They have done an mri and he was supposed to get the results of that on Tuesday Aug. 23. I'm hoping to hear from him on Sunday. His division graduated on the 19th of this month. He was quite emotional about missing that. Hopefully they can get him into a new div. soon.

I don't know what they do on ship 4 div 2341 but my grandson says they do a lot of cleaning. He asked for origami patterns so I'm guessing they are bored!

I am a little confused why they have no information on anything i asked Justen what they are doing next if he dont get his cast off on Tuesday and he was like I dont no they dont tell me shit! I dont know why they dont have him getting his pictures or id or testing done... Instead they have him basically staring at a wall which would drive anyone nuts!!! Is this their way of weeding them out?

I dont believe so. They have a lot invested in our sons and daughters and they wouldnt be spending money and time on them if they didnt think it was to there advantage. I agree, it is a long boring time for them. I told my grandson that that is one heck of a way to earn a paycheck!  They have an excellent medical staff there and they will definently take good care of Justin. Hopefully it wont take too long. I do agree that it is slow going and it does seem like they could be a little more forthcoming with information but there not. A broken hand will heal. In my grandsons instance we dont know if its fixable or not. I too am very impatient but continue to try and boost his moral and tell him to be patient..
