Commissioning ceremony for the USS George H.W. Bush

I'm watching the commissioning ceremony on cspan and the pride is welling up. All the sailors in their winter blacks running on to the ship. What an event! I know there is a mom out there who's daughter is station on the ship, I read a post somewhere on the site. I've said a quick prayer for you both as I think of you. I know the daughter is one of the sailors running around now on deck bringing the ship to life as commanded.

Diane I watched the commissioning of the USS George H.W. Bush to.My Sailor is stationed on there.It was really an awesome and exciting event!!! I wish I could of been there. He had just arrived there right after xmas. And we couldn't work out attending with such short notice!! I also want to congratulate all the "plank owners" and family members of this great new air craft carrier!! if anyone is interested in seeing this wonderful event here's the link:

That was an amazing video. How wonderful all those Sailors looked. Congratulations Tami on having your Sailor stationed on there. What a great piece of history to pass on to the next generation. Bravo! Prayers to all aboard this ship.
