Well, we're down to counting the days till our son leaves on one hand.  I can't believe how close it is.  He enlisted six months ago, and we thought we had so much time with him...huh.  We're so greatful that we could celebrate his 21st birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the new year.  So much kept my mind busy, now I'm afraid that when he's gone, all will be too calm with nothing to occupy my thoughts.  He is so excited to go and begin his new journey.  His focus and drive has kept me going.  We are feeling the pull on our family dynamics.  Our home will certainly be missing a piece.  I can't imagine how I'm going to hold it together on Tuesday??  Our 16 year old daughter is really going to miss her big brother, and my husband tears up more often with tears of pride.  I pray for the strength I will need for myself to say goodbye to my first born, the strength to help our daughter adjust, and the strength to help my husband when he cries.  We will miss you Adam!!!!!!!!!!

One heck of a ride is right. I don't know what I would do without N4M. We are here to lean on and support one another as we go through this together. My baby son left for BC Dec 16th. I miss him terribly, my daughter is away in college but I get to text and call her whenever I want to hear her voice. The not knowing how he is doing and praying he is well, is all we have to hold onto these 8 weeks of BC. My suggestion when times get tough for you and they will!!! Just jump on the ol'computer and check in with us MOMS. We will be here. All hours of the day and night I have found. :) Glad to have you with us. As soon as you find out his ship and div you can join that group too. PIR is something we all look forward to and there is a wonderful group there as well. Welcome ABOARD MATE!!!
