as far as I know, he can try again with another division, I think they only 2 times they get to graduate or start all over again.  but hang tight, the vet moms should answer soon. :)

Thank you! He says he doesn't know how long the postponement will be but, hopefully it isn't very long. I miss him dearly.

See Battle Stations-21 (BST) within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) for more on that.  (I also suggest that you join that group while you are there for there will be a lot of info and support for you there.)  So far, every recruit who has failed BST has passed on the second try from the information that I have seen.

What is his PIR date?  If it is 03/29/2023, join the group, PIR 03/29/13 TG 20 6 Divisions (131 -134, 807 & 920); he may be able to go through BST tonight and be a Sailor tomorrow, but he would have to sit in the balcony and not march.  If it is next week, then he will go through with another division and should pass and will be able to have PIR on time, so join PIR 04/05/2013 TG 21 - 10 Divisions (135-142, 808 and 921)

Ok! Thanks, also if he does take it next week will I get information in time to get to Great Lakes in time for graduation?

If his PIR was originally scheduled for next week, which is the group you have joined, then he has time to pass and call you so that you can attend PIR.  It was a good thing that he had BST with the first group for his TG and not one of the last groups.  Look for his "I'm a Sailor!" call early next week, but maybe even tomorrow afternoon..

Thank you so much! I will!

I read your comment within PIR 04/05/2013 TG 21 - 10 Divisions (135-142, 808 and 921) in which you indicated that "He called and said 'I failed battleship, graduation has been postponed.'" That means he may have been ASMO'd and that brings on a whole different situation.  I hope that he calls you and fills you in on what is happening.

ASMO:  ASsignment Memorandum Order. Recruits who are ASMO’d are set back in training, typically for failing a training requirement (academic, running, swimming or PFA), medical or disciplinary reasons.

He passed all test up to the point of battleship. Maybe he did something during BST? He has kept me updated, the only test he took recently was PFA but in the letter he stated that he passed. I'm trying to keep an open mind, in regards that he will graduate with his division.

I hope he does have PIR next week.

Comment by lemonelephant on March 29, 2013 at 1:53am

It would be unusual for a small TG to begin BST on Wednesday night, so I think that his division is having BST tonight and you got the call that he wouldn't be doing BST with his division and he failed something else especially since no one has posted that they have received the "I'm a Sailor!" call from his division. He has time to pass before PIR if he passes whatever was failed on or before next Wednesday.
