Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I got my sons letter a few days after I got his clothes. My son left June 3rd and his graduation is 7/26 so your husbands graduation should be the following week. The letter will tell you how to get the car pass on line but you can only print it out up to 11 days before graduation. This website is a great place for information. Just click around and you will find most answers to questions you have.

You will be receiving the form letter soon with his PIR date, address, and the password to download the vehicle/gate pass 11 days before PIR. The form letter usually arrives within 2 weeks after arrival. Be encouraging and believe that he will have PIR on time as scheduled once you get the PIR date.
Join the group, DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in June, to connect with others with loved ones who left the same day and may have PIR together.
You may want to join, or at least check out, Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones), PIR Reference Information, and New Members Stop Here. Once you know your SR’s PIR date and/or division number, watch in Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and/or at http://www.navyformoms.com/forum/topics/groups-listed-by-pir-date and join the group for that once it has been created. There will be a lot of great information and support for you in those groups. Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) and Discussions within the groups. Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will let you know what is happening and When Will the Recruits be Paid? and Information for Spouses will have information that will be of interest to you, but you will also want to check out the other Pages in all of the groups.
You may also want to join Girlfriends, Fiances,and Wives of Sailors.
Be sure to let his mom know about this site and the groups as well.

@jess I just got his phone call Saturday and his clothes came in two weeks ago do you think he may have sent them to his mothers or anything? My sailor told me they weren't able to send mail until Monday (June 24 today) and they passed out mail as of yesterday (Sunday) :(

I got his address from his recruiter by calling a gagillion times and seeing if he knew it already. Which he did and they just started passing out mail sun so none of my letters were given to him until yesterday:/

Angelina, he would not have mail call on Sunday. That would have been the first time he would have had holiday routine and been able to write to you, but it was not a day for him to receive mail. If the RMPO has been trained, then he may have had Mail Call this evening so letters mailed before you received the form letter did not get to him any faster than the letters you have mailed since you have received it.
