Navy For Moms

My son called home and of course I wasn't home!!! Anyway, it seems he's getting to come home for Christmas through the new year. I am so excited! I am still waiting to get a letter from him. Does anyone out there know how often they get to call home? He called on Saturday. I thought it would be on a Sunday.

They only get to call home 2 or 3 times and these phone calls are earned. Don't worry with the Navy no news is good news

my son called both during the weekday in the afternoon and on saturday. it's really hit and miss, don't know how they pick the days during the week. the call we recieved on sat. was because they won the captains cup, the other call was just a earned call at about 3 half weeks in.

They can write letters just on Sunday. So you can expect letter from him on Thursday. But do not wait fro letter from him just start sending as much letters as you can. The letters helping them to get thru difficult times.

I am sure you will get one. But in the future he will have less and less time for writing letters. They will have to iron the Uniforms and clean the shoes on Sunday, when they have just 7 hours free time. So close to graduation they will have almost no free time. Please write him as much letters as you can. I wrote mine letters just like that. Every morning and every evening I wrote something than after 2 days I sent letter.
I will pray for you and your son.
