Hi everyone! So my daughter left Monday 9/11 to Great Lakes and it's been a week and still no letter that I was told I would get with address and graduation information. Can anyone chime in on if this is normal or not??? How long does it usually take?
Thanks in advance.

My son left on 9/7 and we just got the form letter Saturday, 9/16

I got my letter 14 days after he left for his mailing address, and we got his first handwritten letter 21 days after he left and a phone call 23 days after he left. He left on a Thursday. It is hard waiting but keep writing your letters to her so you can mail them all at once, once you get her address. It really does vary on when you get the letters as it really depends on when they get assigned to a ship and div for BC. Have Faith as it will come and I promise the waiting does get easier and more understandable as the weeks go on. Depending on when they get privileges to call and write you should get your first call around week 3 and week 5 some do come earlier, that would be a bonus at week 2 and 4 but then the third call isn't till when they call with I am a Sailor Call. One of my son's friend left a week before he did and so he called at week 2 & 4 and I was so jealous at the time as his Dad got to hear from him twice before we got our first call; but as I look back I am thankful mine came at week 3 & 5 as we are now just waiting for the Sailor call, and the time doesn't seem too long since we talked to him last. Remember they are in good hands and no news is good news; I have to remind myself often.  Hugs!
