Is anyone having trouble packing???

Well first let me say that I am estatic about our upcoming road trip to Great lakes from NC. Now second let me say that I am nervous about our upcoming trip to Great Lakes!! Leaving Tuesday and ready I say!!

There are 4 of us making the trek to Great lakes, and I am the one doing all the planning for this trip. My loving BF who might I add doesnt want the details of the trip, just to drive and get directions as we go. He says laughing, "I know you have all the bases covered so I dont worry!" Well I do but I am frustrated as heck with it. Our family like many others are strained with cash so planning every penny has been challenging. Thank goodness my "planning" has paid off for us. LOL

Trying to pack for some reason or another is not working for me. I think I have picked out outfits only to put them back and go again. Then, I pack my son's things he requested us to bring and then reorganize them. Next, I try to pack all the "extra" things we need along the road. It is amazing the things I thing of right now that we might need. LOL Lord help me cause I feel like I'm going crazy!!!

Now I worry about my daughter who is 5 months pregant as well as my 75 year old mother who is traveling with us. I'm trying to make sure that I have everything "comfortable" that they may need as well. Then to top that off, I am worrying and praying for not just my son, but the other recruits going thru the upcoming BS.

Maybe I just need to breathe.............Help!!! Anyone else feeling frustrated or is it just my nerves?

Since you are doing all the planning and packing, no one has any right to complain if they don't have what they need. Also, remember that if you forget something essential, you're not headed into the wilderness. You can buy whatever you need. The weather will be warm - perhaps not as warm as NC, but by no means chilly. When you attend PIR, you will want to look polished, but keep in mind, you'll be sitting on metal bleacher seats. So comfortable and polished is the look of the day. Relax and have fun. You're going to have a great weekend.

Yep, you can't take anything back to base that weekend.....unless it's a watch or a religious medallion.....so you can relax about that part. :o)
