well, today is my sons last day home before he leaves for boot camp. I am very emotional. Went to church this morning and they had a special prayer for him, went out to lunch with some friends and then we came home and packed up his room. I have cried so much today that my eyes are killing me. How am I suppose to say goodbye to him tomorrow. I can't do this..

Yes you can do this.  My son is leaving tomorrow also.   It is an emotional time for us moms.  Just remember that your son is being very brave in joining the Navy so we need to draw from that (just a little) and show them that we can be brave also.  Good luck!  I hope to meet you at PIR.

Lane left this morning as well. I want him to come back home...but that's for me, not for him. It's a little comforting knowing I'm not the only one. Praying for you.

I can't imagine what you're going through right now but my time will come. Hang in there and I hope the time passes quickly until you get to hug your sailor! God Bless!!!

Good Morning, I see some of your shippers left on Tuesday as well... My daughter left on Tuesday from San Diego.... Got the Last phone call and it was devastating for me ... She sound distressed and confused.. very different then how she sounded while waiting at the USO at O'Hare Airport waiting for the other shippers to arrive.... Now i have to wait for the dreaded "box" to arrive....  does anyone know the graduation date as of yet? Thanks for listening... like others said.... it is a bit comforting to know i am not the only one feeling this way.. xoxo
