OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. There are now tickets issued, and there are no longer parking passes for PIR.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Silliesmom - this info pertains to sailors already enlisted - not those at boot camp.  If anything your SR will be put into a FIT division where they help them out with their run or whatever they aren't passing on their PFA.  You should get a call if he is held back - remember "no news is good news".

Aquamama - join the fit group - hopefully someone there can answer you.  This post on separations relates to active/enlisted military.  Remember, no news is good news.

It's not real active but hopefully someone will respond.

Another good place to ask your question is in the Boot Camp group.
