Navy For Moms

I just joined and reading through the blogs brings back memories of the problems I or my son had. Letting them go, having them home, letting go again. The airfares. layovers, cost of coming home. New uniforms at the last minute, cut off phone calls, lonliness, lack of supplies, money! I thought I was done with my tears but they jumped right back into my eyes remembering the last almost four years of being a navy mom. All I can say is that it always works out, one way or another and time goes on... to another joy or problem. Judy

Yeah, my son left today, after 2 weeks at home, and his plane was delayed 3 hrs, but he made it. Was hard saying good bye, and I cried all of the way to work, but I got thru the day. He called to tell me that he got bck to the base, safe and sound, he made it! Thanks to all of you Nay moms!

HI Judy-I can so relate to what you are sharing here. I have been a military mom for 6yrs, and a Navy mom for 2yrs. There is a lot of truth in your words, think we have experienced it all. The joy, and the feeling of pride when you say "yes my Sons are Navy" (also a daughter in Army), out ways all the feelings of helplessness, frustration, and dissapointment. Things DO work out. Reading your words made me cry, but also had to chuckle, because--we have been there-and done that!
