For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Missing Him Dearly, But Supporting Him From Home
My son left Dec. 8, 2010 to bc (Great Lakes)...and we miss him dearly - We did not get to speak to him during the holidays, but we know he's doing great! Is there any one who's husband,son, brother or friend in Ship 4 Div 804???
Graduating 2/11/11? Have you heard any news I did receive one letter from my Son,but have not heard from him since. He said he could only write on Sundays. Free time 7-1300 hrs.... can anyone confirm that they get daily mail??? Thanks, and hope all of you have a blessed and safe Holiday Season.

My son also left for boot camp on 12/8 and I haven't gotten any letters or phone calls from him yet. Right now I am holding on tight and hoping this week will bring me a letter.

I know how you feel.. It is the same for every mom that has a child out there. Even if it is just boot camp. I miss my youngest he left on Dec 12 and I was not ready to let him go. Although some of my family feel it should be easy for me the second time around. Because my oldest left in Sept. And well he is here for the Holidays. But still it does not take the place of my other child! My prayers are with you. Adn yes they get the mail as much as you write but it does take a while to get there. Afterboot camp you can send him his cell phone and he will no longer need to write.
