Hello everyone!

I'm so glad I found this. You all have given so much helpful information that I've been reading so far. My son arrived at BC on 3/6 and this week I've been really down and miss him something terrible along with so many others here at home. I can't wait to hear from him and be able to write.

Welcome blessed to Navy Moms, I help out on boot camp moms, just wanted to welcome you and congratulate you on your SR. I can totally understand missing your Son, my son is now deployed, graduated last year Sept. And just finished A school Jan. 31st. Now he us on another Journey. You will be full of different emotions and just know it is all normal. Some have it harder than others but actually it is all the same. Your son will be in training for FIT that is the run, push ups sit ups and swim test and they have to score a certain amount in order to pass. He will be getting shots a whole series of them, getting eyes checked teeth. So there is a process they go thru when they first arrive. So he will be really busy. He will be tired and most of all he will be missing you and home just as much. The good thing is he is fed 3 times a day has a bed and is taken care of. Please join boot camp for moms you will get much needed info you will meet other mothers that are feeling and going thru the same. We all share and encourage each other, some share their experience as well. So welcome again and if there is anything I can do please let me know.

If you have received the box next is the form letter, you can begin writing letters do you can send when you receive his address. In abiutvthe 3rd 4th week you should either receive a call or letter. And it can come from any area code, so keep your phone close.

Nicks proud mom I'm so sorry for you feeling that way, that is the last thing I would want you to feel. The missing of your Loved one is truly one that all know so well, including myself. And we do take everyone's emotions to heart. This feeling tends to get a more harder as the days do go on until you hear from your Loved one, the not knowing is the hardest part of this whole journey. Please know that your Loved one is having the same emotions of missing home and their families. We just ask that you remain strong for them, because for some the first call is very hard for them as it will be for you. If there is anything I can do for you ladies please do not hesitate to ask. Their is so much to learn on this Journey you are taking with your Loved one.

Thank you Phoenix and Lemonelephant for the encouraging words and information. Knowing what comes next and what their schedules look like day to day helps ease the worry a little. You ladies are so awesome for helping us moms!! I really can't thank you enough

Nicks proud mom we have to hang in there. I have so many emotions, I miss him so much but at the same time I'm so proud that he took that step and excited for what the future hold for him. Prayers for all the Mommas that feel this way.

Blessed and Nicks proud mama,

Hang in there ladies it is an emotional moment for all of us moms and family members but as soon as the calls and letters start to come in you will see they are missing us as much as we are and it will get a lot easier for all of us. Prayers to you ladies and your sons. There are a lot of wonderful ladies on this site that are very encouraging & helpful through this process.

I felt the same way and now that my child is almost done I feel very proud. That first phone call and letter will make you feel so much better. Just knowing they are doing well helps. Hang in there!
