My FIRST EVER NavyForMoms Meet and Greet!!

Saturday morning and I was a little nervous about this first meeting and wondered how well it would go. Would everyone that had RSVP-ed for the breakfast Meet & Greet show up? And if so, how friendly would they all be? And, more importantly, would Elle, the new Navy For Moms Admin and my "surprise" special guest be able to make it with her busy schedule? Could we plan another get together?

The answers? Yes, very friendly, yes and yes. Everyone who had RSVP-ed showed up at Nello's even though the Michigan weather was doing it wintery thing, read: snowy and slippery roads everywhere. A nicer group of ladies I could not have ever met.

Jeanne, so sweet and proud of her son and his accomplishments is looking forward to his PIR!!

Karen proudly showed us photos of her beautiful children and her son's PIR is the same day as Jeanne's son!!

Jackie, who has two heroic sons serving, is a blessing with a few years as a military mom to help guide us.

And Elle, so thoughtful and down to earth, I couldn't have had a better time and because I couldn't tear myself away I missed the begining of the Army-Navy game and didn't even mind!!

BTW, Navy crushed Army 34-0. I actually wished the game had been more competive but I got my Christmas wish to meet a few nice Navy moms!! Thank you NavyForMoms.com.
