While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

My First Thanksgiving As A Navy Mom
He calls almost everyday to keep me and dad updated on school. He has a lot of fun with his friends on leave and has enjoyed Lake Michigan! He loves the beach but misses the Pacific's power against the coastline. He's homesick right now because this is his first thanksgiving away from home and family. I want to crawl through the phone line and bring him home but know that he's really not alone, he's safe stateside, has his friends and has made plans to enjoy the day eating in the galley, watching football and maybe get a game in to boot. He and his friends have made plans to go in to Chicago and go ice skating or something fun like that during the weekend. So for that I'm truly thankful and I know that he's thankful too.
He gets to come home for Christmas. That's very nice! I thank God that I don't have to miss both holidays with him away. This is new for both of us, big adjustments to our family life. But he knows that he's always home in our hearts as we know we are in his, being a family is what love is all about and I love my family very much.
So Happy Thanksgiving everyone. If you are lucky enough to have your sailor home for Thanksgiving, give them an extra squeeze and let them know that they are appreciated, supported, and loved. While I don't have my sailor home physically he will always be home in my heart, and I hope that everyone feels the same as I while their sailor is away for the holiday. God bless our sailors, God bless all Navy families.
