My Son left for Boot Camp on April 17, 2013

I have received the call the night he arrived, and received the box on the 23rd.  I have not recieved the form letter with his address and graduation date.  Any input from moms who's child arrived the same day would be greatly appreciated...has anyone received a graduation date and address?

Join the group, DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in April, to connect with others with loved ones who left that day and may have PIR together. You should be receiving the form ltter this week.

You may want to join, or at least check out, Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones), PIR Reference Information, and New Members Stop Here. Once you know your SR’s PIR date and/or division number, watch in Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and/or at http://www.navyformoms.com/forum/topics/groups-listed-by-pir-date and join the group for that once it has been created. There will be a lot of great information and support for you in those groups. Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) and Discussions within the groups. Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will let you know what is happening, but you will also want to check out the other Pages in all of the groups.

Good Morning manderson65, I feel your pain! My son left on April 16th. He did call me for 30 sec that night to tell me he was there and fine. I have not received a form letter or a phone call. I have been rushing home every day to check the mail and I keep my cell with me every minute of everyday. lemonelephant is so right, join all the groups to get any information that you can. It will relieve some of the stress you are feeling right now. We are all here for each other and it's wonderful.. Hope you get your call and letter from your SR soon. :)

Good Morning,

Thank you for you kind words.  I too have been living with my cell glued to me!  I am so glad I have joined this group and plan to join others to be able to interact with the other moms out there living through this life changing event along with me....

My son left of the 17th as well.  I rec'd the form letter May 1st.  His graduation date is June 21, 2013, I would assume yours would be the same.

The PIR date is based on arrival at the RTC and the storms delayed some and caused some to be called to ship early who could arrive without flying. You must wait on the form letter to know the PIR date, Some arriving that week have PIR 06/07/2013 if they arrived early in the week to fill a division from the week before, 06/14/2013 if they filled a division from that week, or 06/21/2013 if they arrived late in the week and were beginning a division within the next TG.

The member above with a son who left the 17th has stated elsewhere that he actually didn't arrive at the RTC until the 19th because of a delay in Salt Lake City, which put him among the first for the next week's TG, so he will have 10 Fridays rather than the typical 9 Fridays.

Two of the posters on this page need to check out OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes To Your Profile) (clickable link) within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and make at least changes 1 and 2.

My daughter also shipped out on April 17th and I received her box on the 23rd. The form letter arrived on Friday the 26th and her graduation is scheduled for June 14, 2013 also.. Patiently waiting on a phone call...

Join the groups I mentioned above; well, you'll probably want to join PIR 06/14/2013 TG 31- 9 Divisions (221-228 and 931) instead of the DEP group now, but do join the other groups or at least Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones), You may also want to check out Women in the Navy, Mom’s of Navy Daughters, and Mom's of Daughters 2. (Group names are clickable links.)
