Navy Moms ROCK!

I just wanted to take the time to thank all the Navy moms for everything they did for CCR's son this past few days. First off I want to thank Cheryl Smart for taking him in and giving him somewhere to spend the night on his travels. Then I would like to thank Bobbie for driving out and picking him up and taking him home with her after his car broke down and then delivering him to the airport the next day. Next would be Elsie for picking him up at the aorport and taking him to the base to check in after she gave him a place for the night. Shell, Molly, Sponge, Joyce, Cheryl, Brenda all you moms who stepped up and helped me get numbers, addresses, plane tickets, etc etc etc NAVY MOMS ROCK and I love you all!!!

I was so hoping he'd be able to spend the night with us here in Albuquerque but let me tell you, watching all of this unfold and the great mom's stepping up just proves the title of this blog - Navy Mom's DO Rock!!

Ok, Joyce has southern Arizona, and any of those make the trek Phoenix and North, I'm there for ya! What a relief to know, he's made it to the base safe and sound. ;-) Here's to a great day ladies!

I agree with everyone else, Navy mom's rock. If anyone ever needs anything in San Diego give me a call and I will be there. An extra big hug to all the moms who helped this sailor out.

Mission very well accomplished C.
He had enough money left from what they gave him for his road trip to buy his plane ticket and we will put his car (again) on our credit card.
David at Wheeler Chevrolet put it inside all locked up. They'll probably fix it Monday and I'll go get it. Cowboy Hall of Museum anyone?

Also, thanks for letting me know about the behind the scenes gals - sniff, I wish someone would come to my house - but thats OK, I'm a great cook and send cookies overseas - everyone with their own sets of skills I say.

And I didn't like that job anyway. so there.

PS David at Wheeler has a nephew in the Marines...

Please don't forget also Marty's mom and her husband for picking him up at the hotel in Bloomington, IL and taking him to the Goodyear place where they put in a new alternator.
I talked to Patricks recruiter and he said there is always someone on the quarterdeck in San Diego, and he can log in - check in - sign in, or something, I'm not sure.
