DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I just found out I am going to need a passport in order to go with my husband. I did some research online and found that I can expidite one to get it here faster but that is very costly. Is there anything the military can do for me or am I on my own with this.

Usually the main Post Offices, have a small office inside that do all the paperwork/picture for you for a fee. FYI

http://www.travel.state.gov/passport/get/get_4855.html has the info for you. You are on your own as far as getting it. Get started soon because people will be thinking about summer vacations and when volume of applicants is high it takes longer to get the passport back.

If you were to get the no-fee passport, any time you travel for personal reasons you would need a regular passport, so know that if you choose to get a no-fee passport.
