Hi Brenda I feel the same way. :( the hardest part for me is when I'm making dinner. We always sat and ate dinner together. That was our time to catch up from the day. My ❤️ Aches.

Brenda, I am feeling the same way.  I miss him so much!  He was in college, and I miss him coming home in the afternoon to tell me about his day, or him coming into the living room to tell me that he's off to pick up his girlfriend, or go to a friend's house or whatever.  The house is downright weird without him, but at the same time I am really excited for him, and I am just waiting for that first letter or phone call!

Sorry, my mother does not know too much about computers so i am trying to teach her how to use this so that she can get support on my brother leaving. Just bear with her until she learns how to use everything correctly :) She could use some friends to talk with and help her get through this. She is distraught and very sad so we thought that maybe talking to other Navy Moms will help her get through this. Thanks for all of your support!!

Thank you! I have three boys, 24, 22 and 18. They are my life and as time goes on they are leaving one by one. I would love all of your support beacuse its just so hard seeing my middle child leave for so long.

Ahhh Ladies you made me sad too! I can tell you that after 2 years it does get a little easier, but you are at the beginning of this great journey and I know it's really hard...its a wild roller coaster of a ride of emotions, so hang on tight...but all the N4M moms are here help you over the sad days as well as to share the joyful days...its great therpy too...My son is in Guam (gone for 2 weeks now) and it will be along time before I get another hug.

My Best advice is to join the Boot Camp Moms and Loved ones group..you will find a lot of moms in the same boat and you will be in the best of hands..they have all kinds of info..Videos of what happens during processing days, schedules, when to expect the box, form letter, fun stuff to write to your SR, PIR (Graduation)...Good Luck and Welcome to the Navy family. I'll keep you SR's in my prayers to.

its been two weeks and have recieved his box with his belongings but still uncertain or an address to write back to him... please help!

Brenda, if it has indeed been 2 weeks (14 calendar days) since your SR arrived at the RTC, then call the recruiter and get the address and double-check it against those at http://bootcamp.navy.mil/contact_recruit.asp or Ship/Division--How it Works. If you don't get The Form Letter, there is info in Letter Writing & Fun Stuff/Questionnaires to send to your Recruit on how to get the info to fill in the blanks on The Form Letter.

Hi Brenda, My daughter left yesterday. I know how sad you feel and at the same time so very proud. I'm hoping this will get a little easier for us.
