Good to know Denise...I'll let him talk and try to get an I Love You in at the last minute! I know he's going to be tired...he was up at 3am. He texted that he was not able to fall asleep until midnight. I told him to try to sleep on the plane. He's flying in from Los Angeles so I know the flight will be long as well for him. Thanks again!

I had a better day today than yesterday! Last night he did call from the hotel room saying he had a cup of coffee and I said "Coffee??" and he said.."Mom, I'm a man now!" He's in good spirits which made me feel so much better. Daniel's my only child so I know I'll have many more moments. I go back to work tomorrow and I plan on taking my box of tissue! Anyhow, thank you for listening...it means a lot.

Glad you found this site! It saved my sanity and my life!! When Matt left for BC I was a total mess! And I thought I had prepared myself!! Boy was I wrong!! But I found this site and found so much support here, it's unreal! These will be the darkest days and it's OK! Cry, yell, beg, scream, whatever it takes to make you feel better, just know... YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Best advice I can lend is, Start writing now!! It will make you feel better and he will love it! One thing I hear constantly is More mail!! And I send 2-3 things out a day. So keep your chin up & get writing! Best of luck & love to you and your SR!

Thanks! I just got home from work and I was pretty useless there...I stared at my monitor most of the day. I can't seem to bring myself to go into his room. I did receive his call last night at 11:21...and I all I could here was his voice and not what he was saying! I got in at the last moment at least 3 I LOVE YOU's! And I remember him saying..."Ok, Mom" and then click....I sat there and cried and said to Harold..."It wasn't even 15 seconds!" and just cried....until I fell asleep. I know it will get better, but you are right..it does seem like these must be the darkest days....I keep carrying my cell phone with me thinking he's just going to call me any moment. Anyhow, thank you so much for listening....I am grateful for this site! God, I am so grateful!

Thank you all so much! I had a bad day yesterday...but today I woke up feeling great and thought of him with a smile on my face! Thanks for the heads up on the next call....I'm carrying my phone with me everywhere...though I know it will be a few weeks until I get another call.
