Please Pray for David--- he has a new heart

The following is todays posting from David's mothers blog... He is a 19 yr old sailor who was on deployment and was airlifted from his ship in January. He is currently at Stanford medical center awaiting a heart transplant. Here is the blog if you would like more info http://ourboydave.blogspot.com/

David just called me and we have a heart. Oh my gosh.... more later...... It is 12:14am..... I am just too stunned for words.

PRAISE GOD

Thank you dear lord for your unfailing love for my family.... I have been in constant prayer and in constant thoughts for the donor family. Yesterday morning this family had no idea that they would be facing this tragedy, but I rest in the fact that our Lord had this planned from the beginning. My prayer is that the family that is giving us the gift are also believers so that they can also rest in the Lord during this trying time. I can't stop thinking about them and their grief right now, because honestly I felt their grief for the past 60 days. Dear Lord, please wrap your arms around this family right now, comfort them, hold them tight, love them, let them know you are there for them. We love them precious Lord, and we lift them up to you in this time of need. In your precious precious name. Amen.

David's surgery is now scheduled for noon, it could be pushed back, but for now that is when it is. We will keep you all posted.... Much love......

Heart wrenching. I cannot even imagine. God bless that boy and his family. I hope and pray that they can all look back on this next year as a very bad memory that has long since passed. What a blessing that will be.

Susan, thank you for keeping updated on David's progress. I have been including him in my nightly prayers. Our son, too, is just 19. So David is far too young to be so sick. I thank God that prayers are being answered. God speed to him in his recovery and bless he and his family!

I am new to N4M but I want you to know that I will put David in my prayers. I pray for strength for him and for his family. Believe that Jesus is the healer.
