OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I'm having a hard time navigating this site, but I am brand new to it. My daughter left 8/1/17 and is ship 02 div 947 and I just got the form letter yesterday.  I don't even know what ship 02 and div 947 mean, but I'm sure I'll learn fast. It also said her graduation date is 9/29/17...not sure that helps you but your husband will be happy to have the letters.

Hi my son left to boot camp Aug 8th as well. He's on ship 4 div 308... I've only received the call when he arrived. Does anyone know when I should get a call.
