Ship 06 Div 925 Graduation on 5/7/2010

My son is graduating on May 7th 2010 and we are planning to attend. We have our hotel room and are driving to Great Lakes from Michigan. Any and all advice or what we should expect would be greatly appreciated. My son said there are only 4 passes to the graduation but what if more that 4 want to go? Thanks!

Take some casual/lounge clothes for him to wear in the hotel room. He has to stay in uniform all weekend but while at the hotel he will appreciate something simple to wear - he was also anxious to have boxers again! Our son wanted something sweet - after eight weeks of eating healthy --- he wanted sugar. We took his cell phone and laptop with us and he enjoyed having those for the weekend. If he is returning back to the boot camp base that weekend - he cannot take anything with him, so be prepared to take home what you bring.

My son PIR'd on 4/16/10. Ask your son to check with his fellow recruits if they are not using all of their 4, then they can put your extra relatives/friends name on their list. It worked for us! Congratulations to you and your son, the ceremony is beautiful!
