For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Wanting to join the Navy:)

I was wondering if anyone knew anything about 2 spouses being in the navy? I wanted to know if we will b both getting BAH or will they just pay us one BAH a month? I am VERY interested in joining the Navy in about a year. Any advice will help!!

Comment by Anti M on October 13, 2009 at 2:11pm: BAH (housing money) will be the least of your worries. While you can request spouse duty, there is zero guarantee you will be stationed together. You cannot be stationed at the same command, but you can be stationed on the same base. IF the Navy has need of you both there. The needs of the Navy will always override the marriage vows.

My husband and I saw each other for 28 DAYS in two years. Technically we were on spouse duty, but he was on a ship in Sasebo and I was stationed at Yokosuka. We were not allowed to fly to see each other on weekends or holidays as we had to take leave to do so. Neither of our commands would approve the leave! He did get orders to Yokosuka, but when it came time for me to re-enlist shortly afeter, they wanted to send me to California. What? After he just got new orders for three years? No way. The Navy cut my career short by trying to keep us apart. Had I been on a ship, it would have been ten times worse. Be prepared for long months apart. If you can't handle the Navy being a partner in your marriage, don't do it. The money is good, but not worth the separation during a full 20 year career. One of you should do the 20, the veteran retired pay and medical benefits are priceless.
